Pizza and Learning

One of the most popular learning initiatives on campus is "Pizza and Learning." Pizza and Learning is a set time every week (5:30-6:30 pm on Sunday), when the entire community learns together in the third floor beit midrash. While free pizza, desserts, and drinks are served to all participants, either guest speakers, Rabbi Mati and his wife Hadassa, or Yale students give shiurim. Many students also choose to learn chavruta-style during this time--studying everything from Ta’anit to Tanya. This learning program frequently features guest speakers from Jewish institutions in Israel and America. Topics by past guest lecturers include "Remembering the future: on the construction of memory in the Exodus," "Jewish Bioethical Law--the Right to Parenthood ("Nahmani Case")," and "Modesty and the Male Gaze."
